Congress on Undress

November 7, 2017

The Australian Burlesque Museum is coming to Sydney to present a special day in collaboration with the inaugural Congress on Undress. Sunday 19th November we'll be setting up our pop-up exhibition at York Street Conference and Event Centre. The museum will displaying a select exhibition from our collection including memorabilia, costumes, photographs, ephemera and items form treasured pieces in Australia’s burlesque history. We shall also be hosting research presentations, updates from the director, curator for research and a very special launch of sales of our first book. While all talks and entry is free, we strongly recommend reserving a place as room is limited. More information on this special collaboration can be found on the Congress on Undress page of this website and to book in to any of the talks click here.

 THE ABA MANIFEST:

The Australian Burlesque Association is dedicated to the research, collection and celebration of the Burlesque performance artform throughout Australian history.

We think it's vital that this amazing history is preserved now, so that generations to come can rediscover the almost-lost stories of our unique history and the brazen women and men who were at centre stage.
