Bella de Jac founded the Australian Burlesque Museum in 2014 with a team of volunteers who were all Burlesque performers or passionate about the art form.
With a bachelor degree in Creative Industries in theatre, dance and film, Bella has had a lifelong passion for the performing arts and through this museum hopes to not only provide valuable resources for the study of Australia's performing arts history, but to celebrate the incredible people behind this bold and bawdy art form. Bella is a passionate advocate for sex-positive and body-positive art and work, focussing recent work on the political nature of the body.
After ten years in the industry and a slew of awards, Bella de Jac is also Miss Burlesque Australia 2015. Headliner of multiple tours, festivals and events, both nationally and abroad, Bella is also a sought after performer, producer and mentor within the Australian Burlesque community.
In 2018 after a transitional period as co-director related community based projects, in addition to supporting the Museum's newly appointed Director Miss Alyssa Kitt.
